ACUPUNCTURE

Acupuncture is the insertion of hair thin, sterilized, disposable needles at specific points along the body. These points are accessed along meridian lines that traverse the body's many layers and integrate the entire system. Acupuncture is used to regulate and restore the balance of the body in order to assist and accelerate the body’s own healing process. Acupuncture works by stimulating  the body’s nervous system, turning on the parasympathetic "rest and digest" response, increasing blood circulation, activating the immune system and reducing inflammation.

TUI NA

Tui Na translates to "push pull". It is a form of therapeutic bodywork, used in China for the last 2000 years.  Tui Na incorporates a rhythmic combination of kneading, tapping, rolling, acupressure, traction, range of motion and stretching. Tui Na warms and relaxes the muscles and can be used to break up scar tissue and adhesions. It can be both gentle and nourishing as well as deep and therapeutic.
